The first day of spring is
March 20, 2011
What a glorious and
beautiful season God has given us, a time of new
life all around us. A daffodil, a baby chick, a bunny rabbit....all of
these are just a miniscule part of the wonders of our God. How
could anyone set eyes on the earth and its magnificent beauty and not
see the hand of God at work!
In Psalm 19:1 God's Word says, "The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands." Jeremiah 10:12
says, "God made the earth by his power; he founded the world by his
wisdom and stretched out the heavens by his understanding."
So not just our immediate surroundings are the work of God, but the
entire universe. What
an Awesome God we have!!
And, of course, our
very being is the work of God. In Job 33:4, God says, "The Spirit
of God has made me; the breath of the Almighty gives me life."
The
greatest of all new life is found in Jesus Christ. You might ask,
"What do you mean by new life in Jesus Christ?" This
means forsaking your old life and placing your faith and trust in Jesus. God, who knows everything you need
and when you need it, will direct your life
and give you life more abundantly, not only here but in the
presence of God eternally.
